Scotiabank scam calls – how to protect yourself!

The caller contacted my number, inquiring about my wife, who has her own separate number, which seemed suspicious.

I recieved a call today from 800-240-1627, display name saying Scotiabank, lady on the phone said MAY BE i have a loan with them, definitly a scam

This number calls me daily, its a recording that asks for me by name, saying they work for Scotiabank, but most of the time they dont leave no voicemail

I didnt beleive it was a legitmate scotiabank employee, they offered me a personal deal and asked unrelated questions, constantly interrupting me when I tried to ask about the deal... I requested her extention number to verify through scotiabank, but they didnt provide one
