Don’t Give Up Your SSN – Scam Call Warning!

Received a call from 800‑264‑9324. The voice said, “Hello, this is Martin Wiggins from USAA, contact me or any rep at 800‑264‑9324…” I tried the legit USAA line, got hold. The spoof number played the same hold music but skipped the usual greeting, so I hung up, nah.

A call was received from a number resembling USAA's official line, but displayed as 'Unknown'; a voicemail from a person claiming to be Martin Wiggins requested a callback, which led to an unusual interaction with a representative named Barbara, prompting concerns of a scam

Thanks to prior warnings, the call from this number was disregarded

In may 2023, i recieved a call from a number that appeard to be USAA main line, but it was a scam, they asked for my account number or SSN which i didnt provide

I recieved a call from USAA, but the number was unknown, I also recieved a voicemail from Martin Wiggins stating to call them or enny representative at call (800) 264-9324, I called the number and a woman ansered, she asked for my social security number or member ID, but I didnt give it to her.

Someone claiming to be Martin Wiggins from USAA contacted me and asked me to call back a bogus number, definetly a scam

A scammer called, making the caller ID look like the official USAA number. After leaving a voicemail, they directed me to dial the number, which played a truncated USAA recording before an agent answered, quoted an employee ID, and demanded my bank account or SSN. This is a fraud; genuine USAA calls never request verification in that manner.

A voicemail instructed me to call Mark Wiggins at USAA and asked for a callback. When I dialed, they requested my Social Security or account number, which raised doubts, so I hung up and contacted USAA. USAA confirmed they had no outgoing calls and didn’t recognize the number.

Got a spoofed call that showed USAA’s main line. A voicemail from a guy told me to dial another number about my USAA account. I called the official USAA number instead, and they confirmed they never reached out. June 27, 2022 yep.

Researching this number after a call that appeared to be from USAA (though the results for the USAA number were mixed) revealed a similar experience to others; a request for a callback at another number, which is not affiliated with USAA

Since January 29th, 2022, my phone has been flooded with calls from a number claiming to be associated with USAA, despite my lack of affiliation with the organization. After receiving numerous automated voicemails from a person named Mark Wiggins, I decided to return the call. Upon speaking with the individual, I firmly stated that I wanted no further contact, as I am not a member of USAA. However, the caller persisted in requesting sensitive information, which I refused to provide.

I also recieved a call from Martin Wiggins, I have an old shared credit card account with my ex-spouse, so I wondered if it could be legit, but the number didnt check out, it's always best to verify the identity of the caller.

A series of calls from this number, which was misleadingly displayed as a known number, resulted in a suspicious interaction with a woman having a foreign accent
