USAA fraud alert call – what you need to know!

Apparently, a call was recieved claiming there were some questionable charges on my credit card, they knew both our first names and called both my cell and home - luckily it was a valid call and USAA confirmed someone tried to use our cc # for internet purchases totaling over $1100 but it was rejected cause they didnt have the 3 digit security number or correct billing adress.

This number is identified as the USAA Fraud Prevention Department.

I can confirm that this is a legitimate call from the USAA Fraud Department, as they contacted me regarding unauthorized use of my credit card for large iTunes purchases.

This message is legit, i checked with USAA and they confirmed they tried to contact me, they took care of the fraudulent charges, thanks to USAA

A legitimate call from USAA's fraud prevention department alerted me to multiple attempted fraudulent internet purchases

The message received concerned a credit card and claimed to be from USAA.

Rather than returning the call, I contacted the number on the back of my M Card, and they transferred me to the Fraud Department, where it was confirmed that someone had attempted to make an unauthorized $1500 charge to my card.

Possibly a call from the USAA Fraud Prevention Department, as an automated message was left requesting a call to 800-272-9440 to verify recent account activity, which led to the discovery of a scam attempt.

I recieved a call from this number on my cell phone, but didnt answer it, and upon looking it up, i found out it might be USAA's Fraud Dept, so i checked my account and found unauthorized charges

USAA Fraud Dept called us to inform that my husband's card was being used 8 hours away, thankfully USAA stopped the spending spree

It's worth noting that if somone steals your credit card and uses it, you're only responsable for a maximum of $50, I'm dissapointed with USAA's handling of my situation, they declinded a purchace without even atempting to contact me

The USAA Fraud Unit contacted me after I made two gas purchases, one for my car and one for my boat, at the same station; unfortunately, my card was declined the next time I used it, and upon calling the number on the back of my card, I was asked to verify the transactions, leaving me disappointed with USAA's handling of the situation.

Contrary to what it may seem, this is a legitimate call from USAA's Fraud Prevention department. However, I've found that calling the number on the back of the specific card mentioned in the recording is the best course of action, as I received conflicting information when calling different USAA departments.

As everyone else has mentioned, this number is asociated with USAA Fraud Prevention.

I also recieved a call from this number, a recorded message said it was from the USAA Fraud Prevention Department, and it asked me to confirm my name, which I did, and then asked for my zip code, at which point I hang up, I called USAA with their usual number and the credit card department confirmed that they use automated messages, and the computer showed I had been called and the call had been disconected, so all is good

I got a automated call from USAA Fraud Detection, they was asking about purchases, I had to call another number and talk to a rep, it was alot of hassle.

I recived a call from this number shortly after making some out of state purchaces, i think its a securty mesure

I just finished talkin to them, its totally legit, if youre unsure about callin them back, just ring the number on the back of your USAA credit card and ask to be transfered to the fraud department
