I make a reservation at Crown Plaza Hotel Coogee Beach NSW, and i ask to speak with the hotel, but they told me they only make reservation for that hotel

After booking a room, my card was immediately charged. However, upon arrival at the hotel, the staff claimed there was no reservation. Despite showing them the reservation number, it was clear the reservation had not been confirmed by hotelvalues. Consequently, I was forced to pay for the room again on site, which strongly suggests they are operating a scam.
