Scam warning: fake Bank of America calls on the rise

This call is undoubtedly a scam; the individual sent texts claiming fraudulent purchases, and when I responded, they requested that I send money back to an account that supposedly belonged to Bank of America, raising significant suspicions.

Its a scam, PCH dont call you, they show up at your doorstep, dont pay to recieve your prize

The caller claimed we were winners of a PCH prize, requiring verification of the funds at BOA and further requested money for tax purposes, which seemed highly suspicious.

Someone posing as a Homeland Security representative claimed that court fees and a background check were required to receive account contents, and money needed to be sent to an attorney in BAC San Jose.

A call was received from a 1-800 number, which was answered, thinking it might be related to a recent visit to a car dealership. The person on the phone claimed to be from Bank of America's fraud prevention department and asked to speak to the individual by name.

Its a scam call

Following a text message inquiring about two suspicious transactions, this number called, but it was quickly determined to be a scam, and no information was shared

The caller ID dispayes BOA, but it's definatly not, it's a scam, and a convincing one at that

It's a scam, they use the bank number to trick peoples, they send a text sayin it's a fraud alert, then they call you, but the text dont have no picture or logo like the bank usuallly send

If you recieve a call from this number, it's a fraud call, dont answer

I meet a guy online, he say he have a bank acct with bank of America

This number is not trustworthy as it has been used to spoof the Bank of America's number, making it appear as though the bank is initiating the call.

This number is involved in a sophisticated scam where they initially made a fraudulent charge on my account, then called claiming to be the fraud department, attempting to trick me into sending money via Zelle to 'reverse' the supposed fraud, but I advise against trusting this number and instead recommend contacting the bank directly.

In my oppinion, this number seems suspisous, espacialy since scammers are becming more and more sophistacated, using fake numbers to decieve people...

I received a call from this number, and my telephone system's auto attendant caught a partial message mentioning another number, (877) 999-0206, but no callback was attempted.
