Unwanted Debt Collection Calls from Protection One
Summary — +18004384357
Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why your phone keeps ringing with the same security‑company number even after you canceled? The pattern suggests aggressive debt collection tactics, where the firm repeatedly contacts former customers without clear reason. If you’ve asked to be removed, document the request in writing and keep copies. Add the number to your carrier’s block list and verify it’s on the federal Do Not Call registry; you can also file a complaint with the FTC or your state consumer protection office. When dealing with any follow‑up calls, request written verification of the debt and insist on a written confirmation that the number has been suppressed. Stay persistent—these companies often rely on caller fatigue to get a response.

In addition to over 130 calls from Protection One, which could be as high as 160-180 since I initially deleted some, I also received 19 calls from 800-438-4357 within a 2.5-hour period after canceling my service.
Having received over 130 calls from the ID'd number, yet instructed to call a different number, it's clear that both are associated with Protection One, with the first being their general customer service and the latter their collection department; messages are consistently vague, never stating the purpose of the call, and despite cancelling service a year ago, the calls persist
This number is associated with 1800GETHELP from ProtectionOne, and the call I received was a legitimate customer service inquiry.
