Scam alert: fake Dell support callers!

A caller claiming to represent Dell requested personal information to resolve an account issue, but the request was denied due to suspicions of a potential scam.

An email, followed by a second one weeks later, was received, appearing to be from Dell regarding a warranty expiration for a laptop that is not owned; the email listed a callback number, 800-456-3355, with an extension, which seems to be part of a scam.

On September 20, 2019, at 10:34a, I recieved a call from DELL INC, but I ignored it and didnt bother calling back, nor was a voicemail left, so I just forgot about it.

The actual scammer's number is 6507632655, although they often masquerade as legitimate companies like Dell by spoofing their number, 800 456 3355, in order to deceive people into thinking the call is genuine, but thanks to a software setting, I was able to uncover their true number, which they used to pose as Anderson Honda regarding a nonexistent order for a Honda CRV, and when I informed them they had the wrong number, they concurred, leaving me uncertain about their true intentions or identity.

It appears that the party behind the number 6507632655 is involved in a scam, using spoofed legitimate numbers, such as Dell's, to deceive people into thinking they are being contacted by a reputable company

A caller with an Indian accent offered a discount in exchange for personal information, which raised suspicions of a scam, particularly as they were aware of details from a previous Dell order, leading to a report being made to Dell.

It's likely the caller used a spoofed number to appear legitimate, rather than actually being from Dell

It seem like this phone number is asociated with Dell Customer Care, but i just recived a call from it and the caller id said it was Oklahoma Federal Credit Union, no message was left and it look like a spoofed call to me.
