First Point debt collector calls – how to stop them!
Summary — +18006095666
Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why that 800‑609‑5666 number keeps popping up on your caller ID? Most reports point to a debt‑collection outfit, often identified as First Point, using automated dials to chase old or mis‑matched accounts. The safest move is to never share personal or banking details over the phone. Ask for a written validation of the debt and any licensing info, then hang up. Register the number on the Do Not Call list, block it on your phone, and log each call. Report persistent harassment to the FTC and your state attorney‑general. If the collector can’t prove the debt, they must stop calling you.

Considering your involvement with this company, Sam, how long have you been employed there, and do you have a significant role, such as ownership?
As of 5pm today, I have received 4 calls from this number, and if they call again, my plan is to answer and tell them to hold, then hang up.
It seems that Sam has been bullied in real life and now seeks to provoke others online by making inflammatory comments. The best approach is to report such individuals and ignore them.
Collections is the presumed purpose of calls from Sam I am.
Regardless of their claims, not every individual they contact owes a debt; in my case, the phone number previously belonged to someone else they are trying to reach, and I've had to take measures to block their calls.
The system in place is fully automated, relying on an auto-dialer that cycles through a list of numbers in hopes of getting an answer, after which they attempt to set up a post-dated check plan for debt repayment, regardless of whether the debt is actually yours or not.
I wholeheartedly agree with the previous sentiment.
The company, which I eventually found out was B_ l lsh_t, has been calling my minor daughter's cell phone daily or every other day for a year, asking for a Felix Craighead, a name that doesn't belong to us.
