First Point debt collector calls – how to stop them!

The caller never says a word, which is quite strange and annoying.

After receiving an automated call on a Saturday, I investigated the number and the company name, and upon calling back, they claimed to be collecting a debt from 2008, which I had no knowledge of, and I am now seeking to verify the debt and obtain a statement before considering payment

Given that this is an American collection agency, I am perplexed as to why they are targeting individuals in Canada who do not owe any debts, leading me to speculate if they have exhausted their potential 'clients' in the United States.

I find it rude to judge people who may be struggling financially, and it's possible that this is a debt collector. Everyone has different circumstances, and we shouldn't be so quick to judge.

The frequency of these calls is excessive and needs to cease immediately

Repeated calls from this number are unwanted and I wish for them to cease immediately.

These calls are a nuisance, consuming my cell phone minutes, and I have taken steps to prevent further contact as I am on the Do Not Call Registry

If your fed up with these annoying calls, I say we should fight back, they keep calling me repeadly, even after I've asked them to stop, so if your up for a little game of spam calling, lets do it.

I've received automated calls from this number, instructing me to contact them regarding a debt, and providing an alternative local number in Greensboro, NC.

As of 5pm today, I have received 4 calls from this number, and if they call again, my plan is to answer and tell them to hold, then hang up.

The system in place is fully automated, relying on an auto-dialer that cycles through a list of numbers in hopes of getting an answer, after which they attempt to set up a post-dated check plan for debt repayment, regardless of whether the debt is actually yours or not.

This is a collection agency, contacting me about an outstanding bill.
