Merrill Lynch calls from 800‑637‑7455 – legit or spoof?
Summary — +18006377455
Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why that familiar number keeps popping up on your caller ID? Many users report hearing a voice that claims to be from Bank of America or Merrill Lynch, sometimes with a robotic greeting, other times with a live rep. The line is often used for after‑hours verification, but scammers also spoof it to harvest credentials. Never share passwords, Social Security numbers, or account details unless you’ve called the official number printed on your card or statement. If the call feels odd, hang up, block the number, and file a report with the FTC or your bank’s fraud department. A quick check can keep your accounts safe.
