Threatening voicemail from a debt collector? How to protect yourself

After a year of calling, Agent Dyson from this number finally left a message, claiming to have an important matter to discuss, despite having no collections issues.

A voicemail was left stating that I or my attorney needed to call back immediately, or a decision would be made that would affect me, allegedly from Agent Miller.

We received a call from these individuals, and today's message featured a man identifying himself as Agent Arnet, threatening legal action if we don't respond

Not only are personal calls being made, but also to the workplace, with demands for immediate contact from either the individual or their lawyer.

My old roomate has alot of debt, and even thou he moved out a year ago, I still recieve alot of calls asking for him, todai I answeed a call from a private number, and the women who identifed herself as "Agent Strausser" didnt want to disclose her companys informations, they try to scare the debt holder by pretending to be a goverment agancy.

It's worth noting that these collection agencies often make threats they have no intention of carrying out, depending on your location, it's advisible to contact the Attorney General and keep a record of any threatening messages.

It appears that all messages are monitored and reviewed by their attorneys, as they claim to be collecting a debt owed to them.

It's unfortunates that people assume others are irresponisible with their bills, scams and mistakes happend all the time, i have a good credit score and i'm curently dealing with Redline Recovery over a paid bill from 2004, they were very rude and got hang up on me

I received a similar call from 'Agent Flemming', claiming to be my representing attorney and urging me to call back by a certain time to avoid unspecified consequences.

MR. Sparks called my cell phone in the evening, urgency in his voice, asking if I had a lawyer representing me. He threatened that failing to call him back would have severe consequences, and when I did call back, he repeated the question about legal representation.

It's not about whether someone pays their bills or not, Joe, but rather about the deceptive tactics used by these callers, who claim to be law agents, which is a clear indication of a scam, and we should be aware that everyone's circumstances are different, and it's not right to make assumptions about someone's situation.

A person claiming to be 'Miss Snyder' has been leaving messages, requesting that I or my attorney return her call, which seems suspicious.

Curiously, they contacted my workplace, claiming that my lawyer or I had called them, and Agent Jeffiers wanted me to return their call, now they're bothering me at work, which is unprofesional.
