Expert Opinion
The caller, most likely a representative from a company called "Dealer Services" or "SCC", is reaching out to individuals regarding extended car warranties. The calls are often met with skepticism, with some recipients believing it to be a scam due to non-functional customer service numbers and pushy sales tactics. One individual reported being charged $99 for a warranty, while another was asked to pay $150 on the spot. The callers may use different names, such as "Jarred" or "Will", but the primary purpose of the call remains the same. The tone of the calls can be aggressive, with one recipient reporting being insulted and feeling pushed after a 35-minute call. It is essential to exercise caution when receiving such calls and to verify the authenticity of the warranty offers through reputable sources, such as the vehicle's dealership.

Having experienced what I believe to be the worst call ever, I initially tolerated the discussion about a warranty, understanding the frustration of being hung up on; however, after being transferred three times and speaking with a rude 'manager' who insulted my family and attempted to charge me $150, I strongly advise against answering calls from this number, as legitimate issues would likely be addressed directly by the dealership.

The number showed up on my bank statement in relation to a company called 'dealer services' that offered an extended car warranty, which I suspect is a scam, especially since the provided customer service number is inactive
