PG&E spoof scam: How to protect your account!

This has been identified as a scam call and should be treated with caution.

This caller remains unknown.

Although the caller ID displayed 'public service', I didn't answer, and no voicemail was left. After investigating the number, I found it to be associated with a different number, 1-800-743-5000.

As I don't have an account with PG&E, it was surprising to receive a call from this number, which appeared as 'Public Service' on my caller ID. According to PG&E's website, scammers have been known to use this tactic, claiming to represent PG&E and threatening to shut off power unless payment is made immediately.

A scam call was received claiming a bill was past due.

Obvioulsy this number is belong to a Scamer, becarefull.

This is a phishing scam, be careful

The caller made an unusual request, asking to secure dogs inside and leave gates unlocked for a supposed gas meter inspection.

This is the fifth call I've recieved today, supposedly from pg and e, claiming they want to inspect my gas line, however, my neighbour who works for pg and e has informed me that this is likely a scam

A call from a number claiming to be PG&E, 800-743-5000, was received but no message was left, raising suspicions of a potential scam or sales call since the recipient is not a PG&E customer

Despite being on government assistance, I constantly receive voicemails from 800-743-5000, claiming to be from collections. The robotic voice is harassing me, and I have blocked the number. However, they continue to leave voicemails, which is against the law. I may need to report this to the authorities if it persists.
