Ameren Shutdown Scam Calls – What to Do?
Summary — +18007555000
Expert Opinion
If you get a call from +1800755000 saying your power will be shut off in minutes, it’s almost always a scam. The robocall pretends to be Ameren, but the real utility never asks for SSN, account numbers, or payment over the phone. Hang up, block the number, and call the official Ameren customer service line you find on your bill or their website. Never click back‑dial numbers they provide; scammers often spoof the caller ID. Keep a record of the call, report it to the FTC, and educate family members—especially seniors—about these fake disconnection threats.
