Expert Opinion
Recent complaints reveal a pattern of callers claiming to represent life‑insurance firms and demanding personal data. Most reports describe aggressive scripts, requests for Social Security numbers, bank details, and pressure to sign up for term or final‑expense policies. To protect yourself, never share personal or financial information with an unsolicited caller; independently verify the company’s license through your state’s insurance department; ask for official documentation sent by mail before any payment; hang up if the caller refuses to provide a verifiable business address. Report suspicious numbers to the FTC and consider using call‑blocking tools. Staying skeptical and confirming credentials can stop these scams before they cost you.
