Wells Fargo scam calls – protect your account now!

The caller claims to be from Wells Fargo, but it's a spoofed number and likely a scam

A robocall was made, spoofing a legitimate number and delivering a message:

If somone answers, they claim to be from Wells Fargo, but the number is spoofed, and it get's disconected after pressing 1.

Recieved a scam call using this number, posing as Chase bank, be cautious

Initally, they offered debt relief, but when I asked about interest reduction, they claimed they could do that too, after a lengthy speach, I told them I was having dificulty understanding, and they asked for my cc number, which I didnt provide, eventualy a supervisor took over and cussed me out.

I've received calls from this number before and chose not to answer them.

This number is involved in a credit card scam, impersonating Wells Fargo - it's a scam.

The caller ID said it was Wells Fargo

Having not had a Wells Fargo account or credit card for 25 years, this call was clearly a scam with a spoofed number; it's unfortunate that such scams continue to target people, and it's only when scammers are met with hostility and frustration that they might be deterred

A call was made to our landline on September 1, 2020, at 1:34 P.M. Eastern Time from (800) 869-3557, but our caller ID didn't provide any information about the caller, prompting me to search for the number on Google, which suggested it might be associated with a Wells Fargo Bank scam, leading me to report it to the FCC and the National Do Not Call Registry.

After answering with a simple hello, the caller hung up, likely due to caller ID spoofing

The intention behind this call seems to be phishing for sensitive account information to facilitate hacking.
