Walmart spoof scam? How to protect yourself!
Summary — +18009666546
Expert Opinion
It’s startling how often a simple Walmart‑branded caller turns out to be a fraud. Most callers using +1‑800‑966‑6546 claim to be customer support, but patterns in the scripts—pressuring for personal data, vague order references, and a refusal to leave a voicemail—match classic scam behavior. The number is widely reported as spoofed, meaning the displayed ID can be faked to look like a legitimate retailer. To stay safe, let the call go to voicemail, never share credit‑card or Social Security numbers, and verify any request through the official Walmart website or app. Consider adding the number to a call‑blocking list and report it to the FTC or your carrier.

Despite the Caller ID displaying Walmart, this was not a genuine Walmart call; instead, an Indian-sounding woman attempted to sell me a home-based business opportunity, and it appears they manipulated their system to spoof the Walmart caller ID

Obviously, this caller was spoofing the Walmart name, trying to get me to revela personal info, but I didnt fall for it, I know better than to give out my email or other info to strangers, its just common sence.
The call began with a notification claiming to be from a legitimate source, but it was clearly a spam or scam call, possibly from overseas. It's surprising that a reputable company like WalMart would lend its phone number to scammers or employ customer service representatives who engage in such activities.
