Debt collector call? How to stop the scam!
Summary — +18018969710
Expert Opinion
Calls from the number feel like a debt‑collection scam that pretends to be a Utah‑based company. Many victims report threatening language, false arrest claims, and pressure to pay a supposed payday loan from years ago. These tactics violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which forbids harassment and misrepresentation. If you receive such a call, hang up, request a written validation notice, and never share personal data. Log the call details, block the number, and report it to the FTC and your state attorney general. Checking your credit report regularly can also spot unauthorized accounts before they become a problem.
