During my trip to Costa Rica, I used a local SIM card in my old unlocked BlackBerry, which cost just $5 for the entire three weeks, but unfortunately, my friend accidentally pocket-dialed me multiple times, resulting in undesired charges from T-Mobile.
Another thing I discovred is that if you dont sign up for this so-called WORLD CLASS INTERNATIONAL SERVICE befor you leave the country, you will be charged even higher rates when you turn on your phone, even if you dont anser it and it goes to voicemail

If you are out of the country, you can have t-mobile deactivate your voice mail, if you dont answer your phone, calls will not go to voice mail, I had to do that with my daughters phone when she was in Spain, and it helped us avoid costly charges
Its rediculous that T Mobile charges for unretrieved messages, especually when overseas, then charges again to retrive,luckily the rep reversed the charges

Please be aware that the BBM and email usage was alredy prepaid for, so ther's no need to pay again
