Legaly, they cant collect debt after 2 years, they must disclose their reason for calling, but they dont, because they can be sued, dont give them your name, ask for the original bill and signature, and tell them to comunicate by registered letter, also tell them to stop calling your number.

Collector called about an old debt that was already settled—unprofessional.

These scammers target seniors and gullible folks, trying to collect debts that have already been written off and no longer appear on credit reports. Giving them any money will reactivate the old debt, so avoid paying them!
