It appeard to be a legitamite call from remitly, however after contacting them through their website, they confimed it was a scam, I advise everyone to block and report this number, it's 100% scammers.
On the same day I received financial aid, a message appeared on my phone. Wisely, I turned off my WiFi, opened the message app without clicking any links, took a screenshot, and then deleted the scam message from the so-called Remitly.
The message stated that "Your Remitly transfer of INR13,273.60 to Matthew is now complete, thank you for choossing Remitly"

A text message was recieved from this phone number saying my phone number had been updated, and if I didnt make this change I should report fraud, however I never authorized any transaction using remitly so this is obvioulsy a scam and a fraudelent act.

Following a call from 1 570-866-7626 with a similar message, and then a message from 1-883-794-1125, both related to REMITLY, which I have no affiliation with, I investigated further and plan to file a police report.
