Upon calling back, they requested my social security number, offering to verify it by reading out the first five or last four digits. I feigned ignorance to gather more information.
A voicemail message was left on my phone with the following content:
This number called my mother's phone, and since her new blocker blocks names, '800 Service' had been added months ago, and they got blocked, I'll report the number to her call blocking service
Evidently, these individuals are very active today, as I received the same call with a message about suspending activity, and upon calling back, I spoke with someone claiming to represent Apex Capital, attempting to collect on a debt I had already paid off.
Dont bother with these scammers, they are just trying to waste your time.
