Nelnet Spoof Call Alert – What to Do!
Summary — +18443180167
Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why a call from 844‑318‑0167 feels off? Most reports point to a spoofed Nelnet caller ID trying to harvest social security numbers or loan details. These calls often masquerade as debt collectors, but the real warning sign is the demand for personal info without a verifiable callback email. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately, block the number, and report it to the FTC or your loan servicer. Never share your SSN, account number, or birthdate over the phone unless you initiated the call using an official, published number. Finally, keep a log of suspicious calls and consider enrolling in a reputable call‑blocking service to reduce future exposure.
