A message claimed to be about an urgent banking issue from Orange Bank.
Scotiabank robocalls: Why you’re getting silent scams!
Summary — +18443566138
Expert Opinion
Recent call logs show a surge of silent, automated rings from +18443566138 that often display Scotiabank or Tangerine on the caller ID. Callers rarely leave a clear voicemail and many recordings end with a brief beep before hanging up, a hallmark of robocalls used in phishing schemes. Consumers should let unknown numbers go to voicemail, avoid callbacks to unfamiliar extensions, and verify any alleged bank contact directly through official channels—not the number on the missed call. If a message claims overdue payments, treat it as a potential scam, report the number to the bank’s fraud department, and consider blocking the caller to reduce future interruptions.
