Root Technology scam calls – how to stop them!

This number, ‭(408) 372-2195‬, and 845-478-9802 are involved in a scam where they claim to be from the IRS using robo calls

My experience with this call was that they claimed to be from Microsoft Tech Support, trying to help me with my computer, but its a obviouse scam

Apparently, my computer is at risk, or so they claim.

A robo voice claimed to be Microsoft help center, I've heard this scam alot of times that I just blocked it, I feels sad that there are peoples out there who feel the need to scam for a living, get a lifes!

Today i recieved a call on my cell phone from a vietnam number ‭”+84 54789927‬”, didnt answer, the caller left a voicemail with the familiar theme of computer hijacking, the voicemail was assinged to the number ‭+1 (845) 478-9927‬ from Union Vale, NY, which is how i found this site, both numbers are now blocked, luckily

This is a computer scam, do not ansver, supposedly from Microsoft Windows user secirity

The call was purportedly from 'Root Technology' and claimed to be from the Windows Security Service, warning of a potential hacking issue, which is a common scam tactic.

Apparently, this scam involving a fake "microsoft" company is ongoing, as they've contacted me twice despite not owning a Windows computer.

I share the same frustration; the constant calls are exhausting and have me considering drastic measures, like acquiring a blow horn.

This number is associated with a Microsoft/Windows scam, similar to another number, 845-478-9925.

Apparently, I've had similar messages from this number and possibly others in the past.

A pre-recorded message was played, warning of a potential hack to my computer, specifically targeting Windows OS, and stating that if the call was a mistake, I should ignore it, which is what I plan to do, and I advise others to do the same.

It is unclear why numerous calls are being made by government entities or related parties

A call was received from Union Vale, NY, claiming that my Microsoft Windows was being hacked, and the caller requested access to my computer to provide assistance

They saying my computer will be obsolete if i dont call back them

This is a spam or phishing attempt aimed at extracting information

Total SCAM, they calim to be a reponse center, BUT the callback number is diferent

A woman claimed my computer was hacked and asked me to call back, but I know my Amiga system is secure and unlikely to be compromised.

The call asked me to press one to speak with the 'security team', but then apologized if the call was a mistake, which seemed suspicious and prompted me to block the number

They wanted to fix my computer but i didnt give them enny informations.

I also got a call from this number, i didnt recognize it, so i didnt answer, i listend to the message for a sec, then hang up.
