A warning was given that my computer is at risk of being compromised and will become outdated if I don't call immediately.
Root Technology scam calls – how to stop them!
Summary — +18454789927
Expert Opinion
Earlier today, dozens of users reported a robocall that pretends to be a Microsoft tech support team and claims their computer has been hijacked. The script is identical across calls, often showing “Root Technology” on caller ID. Never share personal data or grant remote access to an unsolicited caller. Hang up, add the number to your block list, and report the incident to the FTC or your phone carrier. Consider enabling built‑in call‑screening features and keep your operating system updated. Staying skeptical and blocking these numbers quickly reduces the risk of credential theft.
