Aetna home‑visit calls: How to spot the scam!
Summary — +18552151831
Expert Opinion
Calls claiming to be from Aetna often promise a free home health visit or extra Medicare benefits, but the pattern points to a scam. Victims report repeated early‑morning calls, callers using familiar names like Susan or Rick, and requests for personal details such as DOB or email. The safest move is to hang up, avoid sharing any personal info, and verify any offer directly with Aetna’s official customer service line. Use your phone’s block feature, report the number to your carrier, and consider registering with the national Do‑Not‑Call registry. Staying skeptical and confirming through official channels can stop these nuisance calls from escalating.

A person contacted me, requesting personal information, and claimed that Aetna would send someone to my home for a wellness check. When I asked who would be visiting, they replied it could be a nurse, nurse practioner, or physician. As an ICU RN, I have never heard of such a ridiculious call, and it's clearley a scam.
I'm exasperated with the daily calls from Aetna, a service I neither want nor need, and I wish they would cease their attempts to contact me.
Numerous calls from 855-215-1831 have been flooding my voicemail with automated messages, supposedly from "Susan", which are utterly useless and a complete waste of time. Given my preference for directly contacting Aetna using their official phone number, I find these calls from scammers and telemarketers to be extremely frustrating. Certain individuals claim this call is legitimate, but I suspect they might be the scammers themselves. My approach has been to ignore the calls, not engage with the scammers, and block their numbers, which redirects them to my voicemail. I simply delete their messages without any issues or stress. If they were to show up at my residence, they would be met with an unfriendly reception. Fortunately, my phone system has a feature that uses short rings for unknown numbers, alerting me to potential nuisance calls.
The caller, claiming to be Susan, persists in calling and leaving messages about an 'important Medicare benefit'; it's unclear if this is a legitimate call from Aetna or not.
