It seems we've all had similar experiences; my advice is not to pay them, as it's clearly a scam attempting to intimidate us with the threat of legal action, which is likely baseless.
Revenue Recovery Services scam – what to know!
Summary — +18552447206
Expert Opinion
The 855‑244‑7206 line is almost universally reported as a fake debt‑collector scam that pretends to be something called Revenue Recovery Services. Callers blare threats about lawsuits, sheriff raids, or unpaid payday loans, then disappear when you demand proof. The safest play is to hang up immediately, never share your Social Security number, bank details, or name. Use your phone’s built‑in blocker or a third‑party app to stop repeat dials. File a complaint with the FTC, FCC, and your state attorney general – they track spoofed numbers. If a legit collector contacts you, they must send a written validation within 30 days; any refusal is a red flag.

Numerous reports indicate that calls from this number, as well as others, are part of a larger scamming operation, threatening court claims and other false assertions
Upon receiving a call from this number, I was informed that I had an outstanding payday loan debt from 2007, which was allegedly linked to a bank account I had never owned - the representative's demands started at $1800, then decreased to $810, and eventually $696, but I refused to pay, prompting him to threaten legal action and wage garnishment, before transferring me to a 'Director of Operations' who asked for my checking account information, which I will now use to my advantage in a follow-up call to request debt validation
Following a series of voicemails containing a case number and an 855 number, claiming a case had been filed under my name and social security information, I returned the call, only to be confronted by a man who attempts to intimidate me into settling an alleged unpaid payday loan from 2012, which I knew was a scam since I had paid it off recently.

It would be helpful if they stopped calling, a suggested response is to tell them you are busy and ask for their home number
Apparently, they're trying to mislead people with the same false claims, so it's pointless to engage with them.
I have been harassed by repeated calls from the number 855-244-7206, with a person named Jeff Rivers claiming I owe money for payday loans from 2011, despite my number being changed since then and the bank in question being closed for over five years.
Today, I received another automated call, which I promptly returned to investigate, well aware that it was likely a scam due to the numerous similar calls I've gotten over the years.

I got a robocall from this company, and when I called back, they claimed I owed money for a payday loan I'd already paid off. It's suspicious how many companies have been calling me with the same information.
Regarding the matter at hand, per Tamianth's statement:
According to the FDCPA, its the debt collector who have to send proof of debt, the alleged debtor dont have to prove anything, its very simple for the DC to send proof if they have it, per federal law.
