A message was left claiming I owe money to an unfamiliar entity, about which I have no knowledge.
When receiving scam calls from live persons, it is suggested to ask them to prove their identity by providing personal details, which may lead them to become angry and hang up, potentially preventing future calls.
These individuls are not legit debt collectors, they are actualy runing telephone scams, and they asked me for personal info to verify my identy, but I told them I wouldnt provid it
I recieved a call from 855-849-0491, but no message was left, it reminded me of the old days when you could answer the phone without worrying about scams
On 2/13/17, 4:44 PM EST, a recorded voice kept saying "Please continue to hold" on a loop
My office received a call from this number, which, upon answering, asked me to hold; after hanging up and researching the number, it appears to be associated with Contact Callers, who should not be contacting people at work
You should send them a certified letter, and report them to the proper agency's, then you can get a consumer lawyer to sue them, it's a good way to stop the harassment

After returning the call, the representative identified themselves as 'Contract Callers', but I didn't bother listening further,believing that if the matter was urgent, they should have left a voicemail, especially considering they call multiple times a day.
These calers are similair to the isis type of calers, and they never leave a message or reason for their calls.
In an effort to address the constant calls from this number, the decision was made to answer and claim to be the FBI, which resulted in the caller hanging up.
Scammers using Google numbers are targeting people, falsely claiming judgments and seeking personal and financial information, including addresses, social security numbers, and credit card details.
They are tryin to collect personal informations, sayin i have a bill in my name, but i dont think its legit.

Ultimately, I was able to stop the harassment and even won enough to purchase a new laptop. I strongly advise others to take similar action and to register their phone numbers on the Do Not Call Registry, which has significantly reduced the number of unwanted calls I receive.
A recommended course of action is to avoid answering calls from unknown numbers and refrain from calling them back; instead, consider investing in a call-blocking device or app, which can be found online for around $45.
To prevent further unwanted calls, it is recommended to contact the phone service provider and request the number be blocked
After ignoring an initial call, the caller rang back, and when asked for their identity, they refused to disclose it and continued to ask for the recipient.
Apparently, this is a debt collector claiming I owe money to Sheer Cover, but I never recieved the product and had cancelled my account, so I wont be paying, and I'll contact the BBB about this issue.

In a bid to thwart their attempts, I decided to play along by confirming my identity, but they took it a step further by requesting the last four digits of my social security number, citing the need to verify my identity due to their company's policies. I stood firm, citing the prevalence of identity theft and the legal protections in place, making it clear that I wouldn't divulge such sensitive information. The conversation became circular, with each of us reiterating our positions, until they eventually hung up. Given the numerous scams out there, I'm not willing to compromise my personal data, especially when legitimate companies can opt for more traditional methods like sending registered letters.
It seems there's been a misunderstanding, as we have no knowledge of the caller or their intentions
I demand that these calls to my phone cease immediately.
There is only a few way's to stop debt collector's from calling
Harassment from this company has been ongoing, with frequent calls to my 70-year-old mother, despite my requests for documentation of the alleged debt, which they have failed to provide in six months. Further research revealed their poor rating with the BBB, and when I mentioned this to the caller, they abruptly ended the conversation.
