Debt collectors for a payday loan I never took. Harassed my references. Wrong person.
Progressive debt collection calls – should you pay?
Summary — +18558912300
Expert Opinion
If +18558912300 keeps ringing your phone and claims to be from Progressive, it’s most likely a debt‑collection script trying to squeeze a few extra bucks after you’ve cancelled or switched policies. These callers rarely leave voicemail and often pressure you to pay an alleged balance that may not exist. Never share your SSN, account numbers, or payment info over the phone unless you can verify the rep’s identity through the official Progressive website or customer service line. Ask for a written demand, request a callback on the number on your policy, and consider blocking the number or filing a complaint with the FTC if the harassment continues.
