Expert Opinion
It appears that the number +18559940945 is being used by scammers who are attempting to collect debts that may not be legitimate, using intimidation and false threats to try to get people to pay. The callers claim to be from various departments, such as the "mediation department" or the "state fraud dept", and use fake names like Michael Davis, Robert Whitman, and Ashley Smith. They often leave urgent messages or send texts, claiming that the person has an outstanding debt that needs to be paid immediately, and may even claim that a lien will be put on the person's bank account. However, when people call back, they are often met with rude or unprofessional behavior, and the scammers may hang up on them when they start to ask questions. It's clear that these calls are a big scam, and people should be cautious and not give out any personal or financial information. If you receive one of these calls, it's best to report it to the FTC and not engage with the scammers.
