Request was made for the IT Manager, which was declined
Who’s really behind the Comodo IT scam?
Summary — +18623330772
Expert Opinion
Oddly enough, the same number keeps popping up in IT departments’ voicemail logs. Callers repeatedly claim to represent Comodo and ask to speak with an IT manager about “cybersecurity” or “malware.” In reality, the pattern matches a classic voice‑over‑IP scam: vague threats, heavy accents, and an insistence on immediate contact. Never share network details or passwords, and politely end the call if the purpose isn’t clear. Use your phone’s call‑blocking feature, add the number to a blacklist, and flag the incident with the FTC’s complaint portal. A quick verification call to the official Comodo support line can confirm whether the outreach was legitimate.
