Leave me alone with these annoying calls
DoorDash verification code texts – what’s really happening?

Expert Opinion
Imagine receiving a DoorDash verification code out of the blue. Those texts usually aren’t a legit sign‑up but a ploy to get your number flagged as active for a subscription scam. The messages rarely ask for info, yet they slip a verification code into the body to make you think it’s real. If you never ordered from DoorDash, forward the message to 7726 (SPAM) and ask your carrier to block the sender. Keep your phone’s spam filter on, and never reply with the code or hit the “STOP” link without confirming the source. Watching for unexpected codes can save you from unwanted charges and annoyance.

Fake Doordash verification attempt for an account that doesn't exist
To block unwanted text messages, forwrd them to 7726, altough some carrriers may not acept this code, it's widely acepted in the US, Canada, and Great Britan, so contack your carrrier for alternitive soloutions.
Following the experiences of others, I too received multiple Doordash verification code texts in quick succession, despite never having used their services or created an account, leading me to suspect a scam, possibly a text message subscription scam where they charge my number and are obligated to provide a STOP text option, making it seem unrelated to avoid raising suspicion.
I had a similar experiance to the previous poster, i recieved a text message and looked up the number, which originated in SC, the text said “Your DoorDash verification code is [6-digit], do not share this with anyone, we will never contact you to request this code.”
Several texts were sent from a sender claiming to be DoorDash, providing a verification code, which appears to be a phishing scam, especially since DoorDash doesn't operate in my area and I don't have an account with them
