A call was received but no message was left, and the lack of identification as a charity on the Caller ID raises suspicions about the caller's true intentions.
Why AMVETS telemarketing feels like a scam
Summary — +18656226331
Expert Opinion
Unexpected patterns emerge from the reports: callers repeatedly identify themselves as AMVETS, a veterans' nonprofit, yet the outreach feels more like aggressive telemarketing. Most users note nonstop rings, vague messages, and pressure to donate, which blurs the line between legitimate charity outreach and potential scam tactics. If you receive such a call, let the caller hang up, add the number to your phone’s block list, and report it to the FTC or your carrier’s spam‑filter service. Verify any donation request directly through the organization’s official website before giving money, and consider registering on the national Do‑Not‑Call registry to curb future attempts.

Despite my requests to cease contact, AmVets persists in calling me, attributing the issue to a flawed computer system that allegedly refreshes and selects published phone numbers for robocalls. I find this explanation unsubstantiated and will not support this organization financially.
The decision was made not to answer the call, and after checking this platform, the number was added to the list of numbers to avoid.
This caller represents AMVETS, a legitimate organization seeking donations, and my experience with them has been positive.
