Expert Opinion
Heads up: the 866‑222‑3456 line is widely used by fraudsters pretending to be TD Canada Trust. Callers often claim a compromised card, a pending transfer, or a security alert, and they may switch to Russian or other accents to sound official. Never share your card number, PIN, or personal details over the phone, especially if you didn’t initiate the contact. Hang up and call the number on the back of your TD card or log into your online banking to verify any alerts. Report suspicious calls to TD’s fraud department and consider blocking the spoofed number. Stay vigilant and protect your personal info, account access, and financial security.
