Submitter notes: Caution, you know, cool
Unexpected verification call? Spot the Apple phishing trick
Summary — +18662753866
Expert Opinion
Stay vigilant: if you receive an unexpected call mentioning an Apple verification code, treat it as a phishing attempt. Scammers often pair a text with a brief call to pressure you into sharing the code, even if you never requested it. Verify the source by checking the official Apple support app or website before responding. Never disclose passwords or 2‑FA codes over the phone, and consider blocking the number after the call. If the call arrives at odd hours, it’s a strong sign of abuse. Report the incident to your mobile carrier and to Apple’s fraud team to help curb the scheme.
