Gisteravond, kort nadat een onverwachte verificatie‑sms op je telefoon verscheen, ging de lijn meteen over. Deze reeks oproepen komt vrijwel altijd uit de VS en claimt namens Apple te willen bevestigen dat je account beveiligd is. In werkelijkheid wordt er geprobeerd een verificatiecode te bemachtigen om toegang te krijgen tot je Apple‑ID. De bellers blijven vaak meerdere keren bellen, soms zelfs midden in de nacht, en laten korte automatische berichten achter. Voor bescherming: beantwoord nooit een onverwacht verzoek om een code, blokkeer het nummer, en meld de oproep bij je provider of bij Apple’s officiële support. Houd je accounts gescheiden en gebruik tweestaps‑verificatie zonder sms‑codes waar mogelijk.

They had the nerv to ask for my credit card numbr, thats just rediculous and a obvius scam
Requesting sensitive information like a credit card number for verification purposes is utterly absurd and a clear indication of a fraudulent scheme.
No answer was given when I recieved the call
This scam call followed a suspicious Apple ID reset request and I have taken steps to block the number and reset my passwords.
Someone from Apple allegedly contacted me with a new ID code I hadn't requested, which I suspect is a hacking attempt to compromise my account and phone; what steps should I take?
It is unacceptable that this number is targeting the home of an elderly woman
The issue at hand is unlocking an Apple ID
A password reset code was provided, but since I hadn't requested it from Apple, I took no action and later verified the legitimacy through the Apple Store

At 5:30am, I recieved a call, fortunatly my phone was on silent mode, as I was still asleap, the caller claimed to be from an apple call center, wich seems suspisous
