CVS Caremark calls: legit pharmacy or scam?

A call was made to a mail-order pharmacy to verify if they were trying to contact me, but they denied making the call, and a reverse lookup listed this number as a high spam risk.

A message was received claiming to be from Caremark regarding a prescription, but after verifying with the actual Caremark number on the prescription card, it was found that this was not a legitimate call from the company.

A recent encounter with this number involved a claim of being from CVS Caremark, offering a $100 retail gift card for responding to their call.

The automated call from 866-430-1891, allegedly from CVS, requested personal details without providing an option to speak to a representative, raising suspicions about its legitimacy.

Clarification was provided regarding a previously mentioned Apple number scam, noting that CVS only requested a birth year and provided a reference number for callback

This is a SCAM, they said they have a status update on my Rx order and asked me to use a 6 digit code when calling back, so i called CVS Caremark, the number on my card, to verify, and they confirmed it was a scam, they would never ask for my SSN or contact me in that manner.
