Expert Opinion
Yesterday evening, a wave of texts and voicemails from the 866‑584‑1199 line claims a payment decline, a delivery issue, or an old debt. These messages share the same script, use urgent language, and often invoke legal threats. Never share banking details or personal identifiers before confirming the caller’s legitimacy. Hang up, search the number online, and report the incident to the FTC or your state consumer protection agency. Block the number on your device and consider a call‑blocking app. If a genuine company needed contact, they would provide verifiable contact information through official channels right away.
