Today, 07/13/2023, I experienced the same pre-recorded call.
Who is Jeffrey? The mysterious courier scam explained!
Summary — +18667900275
Expert Opinion
Late last week, a wave of voicemails from a self‑styled “private courier” named Jeffrey began flooding households, demanding two forms of ID and a witness for a supposed document delivery between noon and 3 p.m. The script mimics official USPS language but adds threatening language to create urgency. Do not share personal information or confirm any details over the phone. Immediately block the number and log the call details. Report the incident to the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov), your local postal inspector, and, if you feel unsafe, your state consumer protection agency. Verify any legitimate deliveries by contacting the carrier directly using official contact methods.
