Why First Point keeps calling – what to do?
Summary — +18772291200
Expert Opinion
If you keep getting calls from +18772291200, it’s almost certainly a debt collector operating under the name First Point. They’ll claim an "urgent business matter" and try to get personal info before you know why they’re calling. Never share DOB, SSN, or account numbers until they provide a written validation of the debt. Ask for the company’s address, license number, and a callback number, then hang up. Log the call, block the number, and file a complaint with the FTC or your state’s consumer protection office. If the calls persist, request to be placed on their do‑not‑call list in writing.

It's puzzling to see someone offering advice without sharing their personal experience with the call, particularly when their command of the English language is limited
When you receive a call from someone you dont know, you should ask them whats it regarding, if they say its a important buisness matter, they probally debt collectors, cause they cant say they are debt collectors unless they are talking to the right person.
Recieved a call from this number, person knew my name and asked to verify my adress, but couldnt tell me whats its for, so i didnt gave them any informations, and they just hung up, weird!, as a bill collector myself, i know they are doin it wrong
Every other day, my cell phone rings with a call from this number, and they ask for confirmation of my identity, but when questioned about their purpose, they claim it's a business matter that requires my confirmation before they can disclose any information - a clear red flag.
Despite being blocked, these individuals continue to contact me about a debt I do not owe, and I suspect they are scammers
I was contacted about a hospital bill from over a year ago, but they had incorrect address information, which raises concerns about their legitimacy, and the representative's name, 'Miss Money', seemed suspicious
You have my symphaty, but them scammer probably wont see your post, even if they do, they wont care, you should contact the DMC-VA if you have a complain or debt issue, they might be able to help
Clarification was necessary regarding a bill sent to a different healthcare provider, as the VA was responsible for covering the costs following hip surgery and recovery at a Convalescent Center.
This collection call regarding a hospital debt is misplaced, as the issue should be directed to the VA, and further contact is unwarranted.
This number belongs to First Point, a debt collection agency, and the representative's behavior was unacceptable when I informed them I didn't know the person they were asking for
I'm recieving atleast two call's per day from this number, it usualy ring's 3-4 time's before it stop's
I recived a call from this number and all they would say is that they were from First Point, but refused to provide any informations about the purpose of the call unless I verify my date of birth, adress or last four digit of my social... dont think so
Following a call from 877-229-1200 inquiring about my father, I clarified that this was my personal number, previously under my husband's account; when asked who was calling, they mentioned an 'urgent business matter' while denying being solicitors, and after refusing to provide my father's number without a valid explanation, the caller said he needed to authorize the disclosure of that information, prompting me to end the call.
I receive frequent calls from this number, and when I answered, the representative, Ms. Stewart from First Point, was extremely rude. I believe this may be a collection agency, but it would be more productive to clearly state the reason for the call. Not all individuals are trying to avoid bill collectors; some may have simply forgotten or not received a bill. I prefer to receive information and handle it accordingly, rather than being subjected to constant, harassing calls.
This number has made multiple calls, always resulting in a recording, which is not worth the time or minutes to investigate further
It appears that First Point, a collection agency based in Greensboro, NC, has been trying to reach me regarding a hospital bill, despite my insurance information being on file with Tufts, which I have provided to them multiple times.
A call was received from a woman claiming to be Ms Roe, who asked to speak with my son regarding a supposed business issue.
The fact that this caller claimed to have an urgent business matter yet failed to provide a name or department is highly unprofessional, and I will be reporting this incident as it's unacceptable to contact my personal cell phone.
After receiving repeated calls for someone who doesn't reside here, I contacted the number back and reached a representative from First Point, who requested my phone number to remove it from their list but refused to disclose any information about their organization.
