Global One Arbitration debt‑collector scams: what to watch for

A call was received from a number claiming to be from SEC, inquiring about my utility bill and energy costs, but the caller ID showed a different number.

According to the caller ID, the call was from Bridgeville CA, and the person claimed to be Wayne from the FTC, asking me to call back at 877-503-6374 ext 5096, regards to FDC or FCC Utility count, seemed suspicous

A voicemail was received claiming to be from the SCC or SEC regarding electricity, but the call appears suspicious, especially since my bills are up to date.

These callers are persistent, constantly contacting me at all hours without leaving a message. When I called back, they identified themselves as 'SEC' and inquired about electricity payments, suggesting a potential utility scam.

Eversource supposedly contacted me regarding my utility bill, but this was a scam attempt.

I got a call from this number about a gas plan, didnt have my bill with me so i couldnt verify, the lady said her name was Cindy Dickson

this a scam, they try to scare you, but you shouldnt worry, just ask for written proof, and dont give them any information, they just want your money

The messge left on my phone and my mothers phone said it was from the united states fraud dept, but when I called back it said global arbritation

It appears that this number is associated with a scam, as I was contacted about a supposedly defaulted payday loan this morning.

A man claiming to be from the fraud department at Global One Arbitration left a message for the wrong person, and a rude woman answered when called back
