Scam warning: bogus process servers demanding payment over the phone

Expert Opinion
Heads up: callers flashing a fake legal document script are flooding the +1‑877‑644‑9137 line, and they’re counting on panic to extract personal data. They claim they’ll file liens, wage garnishment, or deliver certified papers if you don’t sign right away. Since no court or law firm ever demands payment over a cold call, treat any pressure tactic as a red flag. Hang up, block the number, and verify any alleged debt directly with the creditor using official contact info. Report the call to the FCC and your state’s consumer protection agency to help curb the scam wave.
