A text message was received claiming an outstanding balance on a Shaw account, which was found to be incorrect upon verification
I got a text message with a verification code that was suppose to be valid for 20 min, but I igored it since I didnt try to log in to any of my accounts
It's helpfull to be aware that if Kohl's Department Store is suppost to call you for a verification code, you should be expecting it and wouldn't need to look up the number.
It is clear that the previous statement was not truthful, as there must have been a reason to search for the number in the first place.
