Expert Opinion
Repeated complaints reveal that the 877‑805‑1729 line is being used for a document‑service style scam, where callers claim you’re about to be served legal papers and demand personal details. The script often mentions a vague law firm, cites old debts, and tries to intimidate you into calling back. Protect yourself by never sharing Social Security numbers, banking info, or addresses unless you’ve independently verified the organization. Hang up, block the number, and file a report with the FTC or your state’s consumer protection agency. Consider adding the caller to your phone’s spam list and alert friends and family about the tactic.
