Bank of America fraud call scam – what to do!

Initially, the text message I received was deceptive, correctly guessing the last four digits of my account number and coming close to the last check sequence number I used, a clear indication of lazy fraudulent tactics; their fake website repeatedly redirects until one realizes the scam and updates their password on the actual Bank of America site.

A call was received claiming to need verification of a transaction by 3 pm to avoid declination, but after logging into BoA, it was found that the check had already been processed, and the call was determined to be fraudulent

A text message from this number purported to be a verification check for a financial transaction, but it is, in fact, a fraudulent scam.

The message claimed to be from BofA, requesting verification of a recent transaction and asking me to call 877-887-8935, but the conversation that followed raised suspicions.

The same issue was experienced, with a call from Bank of America claiming to be from the fraud department, and a number was left to call back.

I recived a call and voicemail from this number, a woman named Jackie from Bank of America, she mentioned somthing about verifying transactions, fortunatly i didnt call back, i checked with my bank insted and it was a scam!

Following a suspicious call from an individual claiming to represent Bank of America's fraud division, I verified the authenticity of the call with the bank's customer service and was informed that the caller was impersonating an employee.

BOA has confirmed that this number is not associated with their institution, emphasizing the importance of verifying account numbers.

This is a blatant scam. The claim that Bank of America asks for account information is false; they actually request a verbal PIN. It's shameful to pose as part of a legitimate institution to deceive people.

Daily voicemail messages from individuals claiming to be from the Bank of America Fraud Department have been left on my cell phone, asking me to call back and verify transactions

After verifying the authenticity of the calls, it has been confirmed that this is a fraudulent activity, with multiple calls being made from the same numbers

They called on an unknow/blocked number but left this number to call back, thats a clear sign of a scam, I have verified that this is not a real bank of a number, Do not give them any informations

A similar scam was encountered, with a call from 626 817 7070 providing a partial account number and instructing a return call to 1 (877) 887-8935, which was confirmed as a scam by BofA.

A call requesting a tax ID number to confirm a check raised suspicions due to its unusual nature.

It has been confirmed that this number is involved in a scam, pretending to represent Bank Of America.
