Last saturday, I recived a call from this number, asking about my VA appointments, and after asking the person three times if she was a VA employee, she lied to me three times, and after talking to a VA big boss, it's clear that this was not legit, and I want to know how they got my info
American Directions Group survey call explained!
Summary — +18882232682
Expert Opinion
They claimed to be conducting a VA mental‑health survey and asked for my date of birth. The pattern matches a known contractor that the Veterans Administration uses for post‑appointment follow‑ups, often routed through a toll‑free 888 number. Because the call asks for personal identifiers, treat it like any survey: verify the caller’s name, request a callback on an official VA line, and avoid giving information until you’re certain of legitimacy. If the representative cannot provide a verifiable VA extension or hesitates, hang up and report the incident. Remember that personal data shared over the phone is protected under HIPAA, and unauthorized requests may be illegal.

This is clearly a scam, and it's advisable to exercise caution and not provide any information; it's also recommended to report such incidents to the local VA office, as it's concerning how these scammers are obtaining the phone numbers of veterans.

Following two calls on 8.30.17, which I directed to voicemail, and a previous attempt in June 2017, I have decided to add this number to my reject list due to the lack of personalized communication
It appears to be related to mental health services, which I have utilized and verified with my healthcare provider
For over a week, this number has been calling daily, sometimes up to six times a day, initially claiming a vacation prize, but now the calls are relentless and unwanted.
Following a mailed survey about my healthcare provider, I received a follow-up call, which I will answer next time to see if it's a legitimate inquiry or a scam.
Upon answering, the call is transferred to a human operator, which explains the lack of voicemail messages, and as a veteran, I can confirm that this is a legitimate VA survey, as previously mentioned by DH, with occasional delays in operator response.

After confiming with the Veteran Administration, it apperars American Directions Group is legitimit

As a veteran, I can confirm that the VA does not conduct surveys over the phone, and anyone claiming to do so is likely a scammer
My initial reaction was to approach this situation with caution.
Upon investigating, the local VA office seems unaware of any ongoing survey, which raises suspisions about PPA approches.
Beware of this number: it's a VA scam attempting to extract information, so be cautious and avoid divulging any personal details.
Survey related to VA
It appears to be a survey for the VA Medical, I'm a vet and had an appointment a couple weeks ago, so it's probaby just a follow up survey.
