The exact same call as previosly mencioned was recived. I intent to report them to my state AG office, as they have called me from numbers in my local area. All their numbers have been blocked, yet a voicemail about freezing my accounts using my DL and SSN still got through. Argh!!!!
National Credit Recovery Scam: How to Spot the Freeze Threat!
Summary — +18883546569
Expert Opinion
Calls claim they’ll freeze all your accounts unless you call back, and they often spoof a local number to sound legitimate. This pattern matches a classic extortion scam that masquerades as a debt collector, using your driver's license and SSN details to create urgency. If you receive a robotic voicemail citing a freeze, hang up and verify through the official creditor’s contact channel—not the number left on the message. Report the number to your carrier’s spam‑blocking service and file a complaint with the FTC. Stay cautious about sharing personal data over the phone, especially when the caller pressures you to act immediately.
