Although this thread is outdated, I have acquired new information that may be useful to those who have fallen victim to Direct Express.
Direct Express scam calls – how to protect your SSN!
Summary — +18885455577
Expert Opinion
Beware of unsolicited calls claiming to be from Direct Express. Scammers often pose as a fraud prevention team and ask for your SSN, address, or PIN to verify your benefits. Never share personal data over the phone unless you initiated the call and can confirm the number through the official Direct Express website or a recent statement. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up, report the number to the FTC, and contact Direct Express directly using the phone number on the back of your card. Keep a log of the call details for future reference.
