They claim to have recived a fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to be filed against you to create a sense of urgency, but it's all a ruse to get you to call another number where they will ask for money to make it go away, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server and the other pretending to be a lawyer, they threaten to serve you at home or at work, but none of which is true, proces servers do not ever call ahead.
It's clear that this is a scam, with the caller making several questionable claims, including calling my ex-wife, which raised significant red flags.
I've received multiple calls from different numbers, including this one, regarding a debt matter. The caller, who identified himself as Javier from Nationwide Legal Services, left a voicemail instructing me to call back within 24 hours. He also provided a reference number and an alternative phone number, 888-661-0223, to contact him.
