It's essential to understand that being 'charged off' does not relieve a debtor of their payment obligation, nor does it make the debt uncollectible. Instead, 'charge off' indicates that the creditor has decided it's unlikely to receive payment and reclassifies the debt accordingly, potentially affecting credit scores and allowing the debt to be sold to buyers who can attempt to collect it.

Expert Opinion
It seems like the number +18887264697 is being used by scammers who claim to be from a "processing center" and say they have legal documents for you to sign. These calls often come from people with foreign accents, and they might leave voicemails threatening legal action. The callers might also provide a reference number and ask for your address. However, real process servers don’t cold call to inform you of a failed delivery or threaten legal action over the phone. If you receive such a call, do not provide any personal information or agree to any payments. Instead, hang up and verify any claims through official channels, like contacting your bank or a lawyer directly. Stay vigilant and report these calls to the FTC.
